Ingredients

How to make it

  • Slice fennel lengthwise 1/4 inch thick.
  • Coarsely crush almonds by firmly rolling over them with a rolling pin.
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers, then sauté fennel with garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper until crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
  • Stir in almonds, raisins, coriander, zest, juice, and saffron and sauté until raisins start to plump, about 2 minutes.
  • Stir in cilantro just before serving at room temperature.
  • Dish can be cooked 1 day ahead and chilled.

I am heaven sent with these recipes. The forks for fan are not showing up on my screen as I am on an msn tv unit. I am still trying to see if I can find a way to input the fan part. I love both recipes I saw today and am frustrated that I am unable to put in my picture where the fan spot is..but please consider the gesture as genuine...I am getting a new Mac soon...
