Ingredients

How to make it

  • Core and dip tomatoes in boiling water for 30-60 seconds to make it easier to remove the skins
  • Run the tomatoes through a food processer until they are the consistency you are happy with
  • In a large skillet, brown the turkey, onion and garlic, in olive oil
  • In a slow cooker, mix all ingredients, and cook on medium for 4-6 hours.

Nice and delicious sounding recipe, Mark - I like using that chunked up turkey. Indeed. And I like the trio of beans coming to the chili party - how pretty. Throw in some (ok, a lot of) icy cold brew and maybe a skillet of crispy cornbread...de-lish.

I'm giving you 5 forks for the recipe and 20 more for the story and the fact that you skinned and deboned a turkey. Bravo! And for another way to use that motherload of tomatoes you have on hand. If'n I lived closer, I'd take a few off of you.

Hope y'all are having a great weekend. :) Vickie
