Ingredients
  • 2 lb turkey meat cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 3 TBS Chili powder
  • 2 TBS. brown sugar or molasses
  • 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 lb tomatoes chopped
  • 1 can each Red kidney, Pinto, and Black beans, drained and rinsed.

Directions
  1. Core and dip tomatoes in boiling water for 30-60 seconds to make it easier to remove the skins
  2. Run the tomatoes through a food processer until they are the consistency you are happy with
  3. In a large skillet, brown the turkey, onion and garlic, in olive oil
  4. In a slow cooker, mix all ingredients, and cook on medium for 4-6 hours.

Nice and delicious sounding recipe, Mark - I like using that chunked up turkey. Indeed. And I like the trio of beans coming to the chili party - how pretty. Throw in some (ok, a lot of) icy cold brew and maybe a skillet of crispy cornbread...de-lish.

I'm giving you 5 forks for the recipe and 20 more for the story and the fact that you skinned and deboned a turkey. Bravo! And for another way to use that motherload of tomatoes you have on hand. If'n I lived closer, I'd take a few off of you.
