How to make it

  • bring sugar, water,syrup, and salt to a boil, boil 15 minutes. pour mixture over stiffly beaten egg whites. beat until it starts to thicken. add vanilla and pecans.
  • beat until thick enough to drop a small amount at a timeon wax paper. cool. yields about 36 pieces
  • grand ma says not to much, it will spoil your dinner
