Ingredients

How to make it

  • Peel and remove pit from avocados. Place the flesh in a bowl and smash with a fork. Mix the lime juice w/ the wasabi powder and create a paste. Add this paste to the avocado and mix well. Set aside.
  • In a seperate bowl, combine the crab meat with the mayonnaise and stir to combine. (make sure to pick through the crab meat prior to mixing in the mayo to make sure there are no shell bits that were accidently left behind -- this can happen w/ pre shucked crab! Better to check than to end up breaking a tooth on a piece of shell) Set aside.
  • In a clear, shallow baking dish (such as a glass 8 x 8 cake pan) spread the avocado evenly on the bottom. Top with crab mixture. Sprinkle with the chopped scallions and furikake. (if using)
  • Serve cold w/ wonton chips or sesame crackers. :-)
  • ***note*** Furikake is a name for various seasonings used in Japanese cooking. It comes in shakers and is available at most asian grocery stores. The type I use in this is made w/ toasted nori and looks pretty as well as helps give this an authentic "Japanese" flair. :)
