Taramosalad

- 200 gr gr white tarama. shopping list
- 750 gr potatoes. shopping list
- 2 c olive oil. shopping list
- 1 ts vinegar. shopping list
- juice of 1 1/2 lemon. shopping list
- 1 clove garlic chopped. shopping list
- 1 medium yellow onion chopped. shopping list
- 1 fresh onion chopped. shopping list
- 1 sweet red pepper chopped. shopping list
- 1/2 bunch dill chopped. shopping list
- pepper salt to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- Cook potatoes unpeeled ca 20 min till done and let cool.
- Peel potatoes and mash, set aside.
- Beat tarama, garlic, onions and sweet pepper.
- Add potato mash and continue beating.
- Add vinegar, lemon juice, dill, keep beating.
- Now slowly add olive oil (11/2 c) continue beating.
- Add pepper and salt to taste.
- If the tarama salad is to thick add some more oil.
- Serve with black oilves and pieces of bread to dip.
- You can use 750 gr bread for potatoes, then soak the bread in water and drain well.
- I prefer potatoes.

Thanks, Michel, for posting this! I usually buy mine ready made, but wanted to try to make it myself. I'll try it on the family when they come over for dinner tomorrow. Yummmm

One question - what do you consider the difference between a 'yellow' onion and a 'fresh' onion. To me, a yellow onion is your basic cooking onion. Now, a fresh onion....I'm not sure...red, green, vidalia? Any of the above?
