Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cook potatoes unpeeled ca 20 min till done and let cool.
  • Peel potatoes and mash, set aside.
  • Beat tarama, garlic, onions and sweet pepper.
  • Add potato mash and continue beating.
  • Add vinegar, lemon juice, dill, keep beating.
  • Now slowly add olive oil (11/2 c) continue beating.
  • Add pepper and salt to taste.
  • If the tarama salad is to thick add some more oil.
  • Serve with black oilves and pieces of bread to dip.
  • You can use 750 gr bread for potatoes, then soak the bread in water and drain well.
  • I prefer potatoes.

    One question - what do you consider the difference between a 'yellow' onion and a 'fresh' onion. To me, a yellow onion is your basic cooking onion. Now, a fresh onion....I'm not sure...red, green, vidalia? Any of the above?
