Jambalaya Pasta

- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped celery shopping list
- 1 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 (14 1/2 oz) can Italian diced tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 1 (14 1/2 oz) can chicken broth shopping list
- 2/3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms shopping list
- 1 tsp dried basil shopping list
- 3-4 bay leaves shopping list
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 8 ounces spiral pasta shopping list
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken shopping list
How to make it
- In a skillet, saute the onion , peppers and celery in butter until tender
- Stir in tomatoes, broth mushrooms, and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil
- Reduce heat
- Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Add chicken to tomato mixture, heat through.
- Drain pasta and add to chicken mixture.
- Discard bay leaves and serve.
