This is vinegar pie and vinegar pie 11 is a little different.

Ingredients
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsps. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsps. sugar

Directions
  1. Beat egg yolks until thick.
  2. Add sugar, salt and flour.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Add boiling water slowly, stirring constantly.
  5. Cook over hot water till thick and smooth.
  6. Add flavoring.
  7. Pour into baked pie shell.
  8. Cover with meringue made with egg whites and 3 Tablespoons sugar.
