Saucy Chicken Balls Recipe
This dish can be doubled for either a main entre or a side dish. Simple and easy to make. Goes well alone or with an Oriental buffet.

Ingredients
  • 3 - 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 and 1//2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp.. onion powder
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions
  1. Combine flour with the spices (add other spices if you wish).
  2. Lightly beat eggs
  3. Cut chichen into strips long enough to roll into a ball
  4. Roll chicken balls into beaten egg mixture then
  5. Dip into flour mixture
  6. Fry in oil until lightly brown
  7. Drain on a paper towel.
  8. SAUCE:
  9. In a sauce pan, mix 1/2 cup sugar , 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 Tbsp. Soya sauce
  10. Add 1 can of pineapple chunks and liquid
  11. 1/4 cup catsup
  12. 2 Tbsp. cornstarch or a bit more depending on desired thickeness of the sauce
  13. Bake at 275 for an hour
  14. Serve on egg noodles or rice.
