Ingredients

2 boxes of any brand brownie mix

ingredients as directed on brownie mix boxes

3/4 cup peanut butter (if using)

2 or 3 Hershey type candy bars (or candy bars of your choice)

Directions

Preheat oven to temperature as directed on brownie mix box.

Follow directions on your boxes of brownie mix and prepare them using the ingredients listed on box.

Mix both boxes together in a large bowl.

Prepare a 9 x 13 pan as directed on brownie mix box.

Once brownie mix is prepared-spread 1/2 of it in 9 x 13 pan.

Top this bottom layer of brownie with 2-3 broken up hershey type candy bars (or candy of your choice).

Melt peanut butter (if using) in microwave until its in a spreadable, almost pourable stage.

Pour peanut butter on top of candy bars.

Top this with the remaining brownie mix.

Bake as directed on brownie mix box-but remember you are using TWO boxes, so you will have to bake it longer, but at the same temperature. For instance, my brownie mix says 350° for 25 minutes, but since I am using two boxes of mix, I have to bake it for almost 35 minutes.

Keep an eye on them to check for doneness (crackly top, pulling away from edges of pan, etc.)

Let them cool a bit before cutting.

Don't tell too many people that you just made them because they will be beating down your door to get some.
