Apple Pecan Sticky Buns

- 2 tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1/4 inch thick shopping list
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened shopping list
- 1 recipe biscuit dough or 1 loaf yeast dough shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk or cream shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Prepare the apples, toss with one tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter.
- Roast in the prepared pan, covered loosely with foil, for 15 minutes or until tender.
- Lower oven heat to 350 degrees.
- Prepare recipe using 2 cups of flour for biscuit or yeast dough (part whole-wheat if desired), or use thawed prepared dough.
- Roil out on a lightly floured surface to make a 9-inch square.
- Mix the 1/2 cup brown sugar withpecans and cinnamon.
- Chop in 4 tablespoons of butter.
- Sprinke the mixture on top of the dough.
- Cover evenly with roasted apples.
- Roll up, jelly roll style, and cut crosswise into 9 slices.
- Arrange and bake in prepared pan until golden, 35 - 40 minutes.
- Transfer to a rack to cool.
- Prepare the glaze by bringing to a boil the remaining 5 ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Whisk over the heat for about 2 minutes, to thicken a bit.
- Let cool slightly.
- Drizzle sauce over the warm buns that have been transferred to a serving plate.
