  • 2 tbsp whole cloves
  • 2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 4 - 3 " cinnamon sticks
  • 2 bottles sweet red wine
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 2 cups almonds, sliced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 oranges (washed and sliced)
  • 3 tsp lime rind, shredded
  • 1 1/2 oz dark rum
  • 1 1/2 oz brandy
  • 1 1/2 oz port wine
  • 2 oz honey

Directions
  1. Mix all the ingredients together (except the liquor, raisins and almonds) in a large pot.
  2. Heat just until the mixture starts to boil but does not actually boil.
  3. Simmer for 4 hours on very low heat.
  4. Take out cloves and oranges. Add the liquor, raisins, almonds minutes before serving.
  5. Reheat until it nearly starts to boil.
  6. Serve in heatproof glass cups or regular cups. Ensure you add a small helping of raisins and almonds in each cup. Provide a teaspoon with the glogg so that your guest can use it to nibble on the almonds and raisins while drinking the Glogg. Enjoy!
