Buttermilk always adds the super moist quality to a chocolate cake, along with bringing out the richness of the chocolate. I love the addition of the cinnamon as well.
Great recipe.

I have made this cake for years, and I add a chocolate icing. The cinnamon adds so much. It's delicious, wonderful, and tried and true!

Great cake although I have never added the cinnamon; will add that next time. I also add a hot icing that taste just like fudge. I think that is the best part! :-)
Thanks for a great post.m2googee in Tomball loved it
