Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

12 hot Italian sausages

1 medium white onion thinly sliced

1 tablespoon minced garlic

2 red peppers seeded and sliced

1 green pepper seeded and diced

3 tablespoons tomato paste

3/4 cup dry white wine

1 teaspoon fennel seeds

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

Directions

Heat oil in a casserole or large skillet and cook sausage 2 minutes on each side.

Pour off most of the fat then add onions, garlic, peppers, paste, wine, fennel, salt and pepper.

Cover and cook over low heat 25 minutes.
