How to make it

  • This is what I do: Double some aluminum foil about 2 feet long
  • Put on cookie sheet or other baking pan
  • Place salmon skin side down on foil
  • sprinkle and rub all ingredients in equal portions on salmon (you choose amount)
  • Dot with butter on top
  • Seal foil around salmon pinching it closed, trying to keep above salmon, not touching it, just creating a tent so to speak
  • Bake (or grill) in 375*F oven for approx. 20 min. depending on thickness of salmon (mine was perfect in 21 min - about 1" thick at biggest part) Do not overcook - it continues to cook a while when taken out of oven - if anything take out when you think it is almost done. It's better underdone than overdone.
  • Usually comes off skin when lifted carefully with metal spatula or just scrape off on plate.
