Tasty Salmon Filet
From justjakesmom 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 salmon fillet (half a salmon, skin on) shopping list
- dried tarragon shopping list
- dill weed shopping list
- granulated garlic (or powder) shopping list
- smoked paprika shopping list
- dried basil shopping list
- lemon peel shopping list
- salt shopping list
- butter (not necessary, but I did anyway) shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- This is what I do: Double some aluminum foil about 2 feet long
- Put on cookie sheet or other baking pan
- Place salmon skin side down on foil
- sprinkle and rub all ingredients in equal portions on salmon (you choose amount)
- Dot with butter on top
- Seal foil around salmon pinching it closed, trying to keep above salmon, not touching it, just creating a tent so to speak
- Bake (or grill) in 375*F oven for approx. 20 min. depending on thickness of salmon (mine was perfect in 21 min - about 1" thick at biggest part) Do not overcook - it continues to cook a while when taken out of oven - if anything take out when you think it is almost done. It's better underdone than overdone.
- Usually comes off skin when lifted carefully with metal spatula or just scrape off on plate.
