Scottish Highlander Chocolate Scones- Tweeked By Robertg Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups bisquick baking mix-the first tweek
  • 1/4 cup baking coaco
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 TBS. slivered almonds-2nd. tweek
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt-3rd tweek
  • 1 egg
  • TOPPING;
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger root

Directions
  1. mix all dry ingredients well.
  2. stir in all the remaining ingredients until a soft dough forms
  3. knead 5-6 times
  4. place on a cookie sheet,pat into a 8" circle.
  5. cut into 8 wedges but don't seperate.
  6. bake in a preheated 425*F oven for 12 minutes
  7. SPREAD;
  8. combine all 3 ingredients,mix well and spread on scones and serve warm.
