SPICY FRIED FISH

- 500g (18oz) Whole fish, cleaned, make 3-4 shallow cuts into each side shopping list
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder shopping list
- 2 pinches turmeric powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- vegetable oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all the ingredients (except the fish and oil) with a little water and rub the paste over the fish.
- Keep aside for an hour.
- Heat the oil in a wok shallow-fry the fish till golden brown.
- Remove and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper towels.
- Repeat till all fish are fried.
- serve on a bed of lettuce with lemon wedges
