Plum Good Glazed Chicken

- 1(3pound) chicken,cut up shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon butter,and a small amount of oil,so as not to burn shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon water shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 to 3/4 Cup plum Jelly shopping list
- 1/2 Cup light corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 Cup orange juice shopping list
- 1 Package Long Grain and wild rice shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Grated orange rind shopping list
How to make it
- Brown the chicken on all sides in the butter and oil.
- Add water and salt,cover and cook over low heat until tender,about 45 minutes,turning pieces several times.
- Cook the rice according to directions.
- Drain fat from the chicken skillet.
- Combine jelly,corn syrup and orange juice,stir and pour over chicken.
- Heat and spoon sauce over chicken until the chicken is glazed and sauce is thick,about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Stir 1 tablespoon grated orange rind into the hot rice.
- Serve the glazed chicken and sauce over the rice,sprinkle with 1 tablespoons orange rind.
