Ingredients

1/2 cup of shortening

3 tbsp of sugar

1 1/2 teas of salt

1 tsp of vanilla

1/2 cup of scalded milk

2 packages of dry yeast in 1/4 cup of warm water

3 cups of sifted flour, divided

3 eggs

3/4 cups of chopped nuts

1/2 cup of sugar

1 generous teaspoon of cinnamon

Directions

Combine shortening, sugar, salt, vanilla, and scalded milk.

Add yeast mixture and mix well.

Blend in 1/2 of the flour (1 1/2 cups) and beat until just blended.

Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.

Add beaten eggs one at a time beating quite firmly after each addition.

Blend in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour, mix thoroughly.

Dough is quite soft.

Let rise in 80-90 degree temp in covered bowl for about 1/2 hour.

Combine, nuts, sugar and cinnamon.

Divide dough in small pieces with a tablespoon.

Roll each piece in sugar nut mixture.

Stretch and twist into 8 inch long pieces.

Place on a greased baking sheet.

Let rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Bake 12-15 minutes.

Makes 24

Can be iced if desired.

Might I suggest that you edit the recipe and change the whole of it to something suitable, is the only way I can think of getting it out of there
