Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine shortening, sugar, salt, vanilla, and scalded milk.
  • Add yeast mixture and mix well.
  • Blend in 1/2 of the flour (1 1/2 cups) and beat until just blended.
  • Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Add beaten eggs one at a time beating quite firmly after each addition.
  • Blend in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour, mix thoroughly.
  • Dough is quite soft.
  • Let rise in 80-90 degree temp in covered bowl for about 1/2 hour.
  • Combine, nuts, sugar and cinnamon.
  • Divide dough in small pieces with a tablespoon.
  • Roll each piece in sugar nut mixture.
  • Stretch and twist into 8 inch long pieces.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes.
  • Makes 24
  • Can be iced if desired.

    I see you still have this recipe in the "firey hot" group lol
    Might I suggest that you edit the recipe and change the whole of it to something suitable, is the only way I can think of getting it out of there

    What a great "find" to come across - they sound simple enough, and so tasty. Another one to add to the "Must Try" pile...I'll be baking until I'm 128!!!
