Cherry Almond Coffeecake

- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter softened shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 can cherry pie filling shopping list
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 then butter a spring form pan.
- Beat sugar and butter until light then add eggs and extracts then beat well.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into medium bowl.
- Mix half of dry ingredients into butter mixture then stir in sour cream.
- Add remaining dry ingredients then pour 2 cups of batter into prepared pan.
- Drop pie filling by tablespoons evenly over batter then drop remaining batter by over pie filling.
- Using back of spoon carefully spread batter over filling and sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake 1 hour then cool in pan on rack and cut around sides of pan then remove pan.
