How to make it

  • In a 2-qt. saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add celery and green onions. Cook for about 7 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Whisk in flour and celery salt until smooth. Whisk in broth and milk. Add peas and carrots and cook for 10 minutes until thick and bubbly all over, whisking constantly.
  • Stir in chicken or turkey, mushrooms and pimiento.
  • Heat thoroughly. Serve over mashed potatoes, cooked noodles or rice.
