English Breakfast Recipe

English Breakfast

A rich and earthy breakfast treat. Best fried, healthier grill, your choice. Stack it high if your heart can take it.

1 large portabello mushroom, destalked shopping list
1 slice of black pudding (the Scotts make the best in my opinion try find a Scottish butcher) shopping list
2 rashers of lean English back bacon shopping list
1 large free range egg shopping list
A blob of either tomato or brown sauce shopping list

Saute the mushroom until tender
Grill or fry black pudding until cooked through (do not over cook or else it goes dry)
Grill or fry bacon until only the egdes are crispy
Gently fry the egg, sunny side up.
Prepare a warm plate and Stack ingrdiants in this order:
mushroom 1st
bacon rashers 2nd
black pudding 3rd
egg on top
sauce at the side
Wash down with a cup of english breakfast tea.
ENJOY

I've always been a softie for the F.E.B., and it's still one of my guilty pleasures! Luckily, I can get black and white pudding at the butchers round the corner. Great recipe, ta!

I visited a friend in Scotland a few years back, and he fixed a Scottish Breakfast which was very similar to this. He noted that the Scots have the highest rate of heart disease in the world... It was well worth the risk. Gotta love a breakfast that includes both sausage, bacon, AND eggs... (pardon me, I'm drooling again).

Thank-you greatly for this wonderful English Breakfast,my grandparents use to make their own homemade sausage,but the blood sausage would be a different one for me I beleive,EarL Grey a great topper.What a breakfast! Thank-you again.
