How to make it

  • grease and flour a 9x13 baking pan (very important)
  • mix all ingredients together
  • bake at 350 for 45 min or until inserted toothpick comes out clean
  • eat and enjoy

    The cake is good, but could have been heavier on the spices. Then again I AM a spice lover.
    I replaced the sugar with honey and some brown sugar, and sprinkled brown sugar + cinnamon on top for a nice crust. I also stuck some apple slices into the batter. It turned out tasty, but yeah, next time will use about triple the amount of spices.

    I love cooking from scratch so you know I'm going to try this out today....thought I'd make another recipe but this one sounds even better. Going to bake it in mini cake pans though & will let you know how it turns out! Sounds delicious and I need something for a woman whos doing painting in my home this week. Can't wait to hit the counter tops & oven!
