- 1-pound can diced beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup vinegar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
How to make it
- Drain one 1-pound can diced beets, reserving 1/3 cup liquid.
- In saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon constarch, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Stir in reserved liquid, 1/4 cup vinegar, and 2 tablespoons butter.
- Cook and stir till mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Add beats; heat through.
- Serves 4 or 5.
