This is a delicious creamy cheese sauce without all the butter and cream! Serve with whole wheat pasta and trick your taste buds with this healthy filling dish!

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 CUP skim milk
  • 1 CUP cheddar cheese (sharp is preferred although I only had mild on-hand, also low fat cheddar or mozerella could be substituted)
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 TBS low fat sour cream
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 2 TBS flour
  • 1 TSP salt
  • Dash of pepper

Directions
  1. Heat milk in sauce pan on medium heat
  2. Add the rest of ingredients until cheese melts
  3. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes
  4. Add to wheat pasta
  5. Optional: top with cheese!
