How to make it

  • Prepare packaged cake according to directions
  • put aside
  • crush one sleeve of chocolate grahams between 2 sheets of wax paper
  • melt enough unsalted butter in pan to make a crust while add ing crushed crackers
  • in a 9x13 pyrex baking dish that has been greased very well
  • spread cracker mixture
  • add a layer of the chocolate bits and a layer of marshmallows
  • pour cake mix over
  • bake according to directions about 40 minutes
  • allow to cool
  • when almost cool prepare the following
  • melt butter with peanut butter in a saucepan and keep thick
  • enough to put in pastry bag and make a checkerboard pattern or whatever pattern you wish

  • Serve with scoops of chocolate-chip mint ice cream.
