Gradschool Tuna Bean Delight Recipe

Gradschool Tuna Bean Delight Recipe
This is a concoction I came up with during my poverty-stricken days in grad school. It involves tuna, frozen beans, soy sauce and rice. This is for those who enjoy a sturdy dose of soy sauce and can't afford sushi.

Ingredients
  • White rice
  • frozen green beans
  • soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 can of tuna (either solid or the chunk variety)

Directions
  1. Start cooking white rice as per instructions
  2. In the meantime, open up tuna and drain
  3. Take frozen beans out of freezer
  4. Over medium heat, add tuna, green beans and soy sauce (enough to cover beans and tuna, but not the entire bottle, obviously. I don't want anyone to die)
  5. Cook until green beans are defrosted and cooked.
  6. Serve over white rice and enjoy your cheap meal!

Sounds interesting, might have to give this a try.

I make something similar to bring to work for lunch, but use brown rice. I'm going to try your method.
