Ingredients

How to make it

  • Make a pocket in the hot dog, by slicing from end to end but do not seperate or cut all the way through.
  • Slice the slices of cheese in about 1 inch wide slices
  • Put the hot dogs in a baking dish, one that will hold the hotdogs closely together.
  • Stuff the pocket with the 1 inch wide slice of cheese
  • pour the can of stewed tomatoes over all the dogs
  • sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
  • Put in a 350 F degree oven for about twenty min. or until the cheese starts to melt and all the dogs are heated through.
  • Marie, my Mother made these back in the 50's when my Dad was bringing home $34.00 a week. This gourmet treat was served with cut up boiled potatoes.
