Maries gourmet Hot dogs

Hot dogs stuffed with cheese, covered in stewed tomates and baked
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs ( any brand) beef, pork, chicken, 0r turkey dogs shopping list
- 2 or 3 slices American cheese or your favorite sliced cheese shopping list
- 1 can of stewed tomates, or the new flavored diced tomatoes shopping list
- grated cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Make a pocket in the hot dog, by slicing from end to end but do not seperate or cut all the way through.
- Slice the slices of cheese in about 1 inch wide slices
- Put the hot dogs in a baking dish, one that will hold the hotdogs closely together.
- Stuff the pocket with the 1 inch wide slice of cheese
- pour the can of stewed tomatoes over all the dogs
- sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
- Put in a 350 F degree oven for about twenty min. or until the cheese starts to melt and all the dogs are heated through.
- Marie, my Mother made these back in the 50's when my Dad was bringing home $34.00 a week. This gourmet treat was served with cut up boiled potatoes.
