Hot dogs stuffed with cheese, covered in stewed tomates and baked

Ingredients
  • 8 Hot dogs ( any brand) beef, pork, chicken, 0r turkey dogs
  • 2 or 3 slices american cheese or your favorite sliced cheese
  • 1 can of stewed tomates, or the new flavored diced tomatoes
  • grated cheese

Directions
  1. Make a pocket in the hot dog, by slicing from end to end but do not seperate or cut all the way through.
  2. Slice the slices of cheese in about 1 inch wide slices
  3. Put the hot dogs in a baking dish, one that will hold the hotdogs closely together.
  4. Stuff the pocket with the 1 inch wide slice of cheese
  5. pour the can of stewed tomatoes over all the dogs
  6. sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
  7. Put in a 350 F degree oven for about twenty min. or until the cheese starts to melt and all the dogs are heated through.
  8. Marie, my Mother made these back in the 50's when my Dad was bringing home $34.00 a week. This gourmet treat was served with cut up boiled potatoes.
