Southwest Corn And Ham Chowder

- 1 tablespoon Land O Lake butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked ham* shopping list
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup choppe red bell pepper shopping list
- 1 (4-oz.)can chopped green chiles shopping list
- 3 cups Dairy Ease Reduced Fat milk shopping list
- 1 (16-oz.) packed frozen corn shopping list
- 1 (14-oz.) can chicken broth shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 cup instant mashed potato flakes shopping list
How to make it
- *May substitute chorizo for ham
- Melt butter in 4-quart saucepan until sizzling, add ham, onion, bell pepper and chilies.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion and pepper are softened.
- Add all remaining ingredients (except) potato flakes.
- Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in potato flakes.
- Serve immediatly.
- 8 servings
