Best Ever Chocolate Sheet Cake

- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine (I prefer unsalted butter, but may use Parkay) shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1/2 cup Crisco oil shopping list
- 1 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- icing shopping list
- 1 pound box powdered sugar (I prefer C & H powdered sugar) shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine (I prefer butter, but may use Parkay) shopping list
- 1/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 6 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 1 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- In mixing bowl, mix sugar and flour
- Bring margarine, cocoa, oil and water to boil in saucepan
- Pour over flour mixture, mix well
- Beat in eggs
- Add buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla
- Mix well
- Spoon into a greased and floured 12" X 17" baking pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes
- ICING
- Bring milk, margarine, cocoa to boil in saucepan
- Add sugar, vanilla, pecans
- Mix well
- Beat until creamy
- Spread on warm cake
