Peanut Brittle - Wanda

- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup white Karo syrup shopping list
- 2 cups raw peanuts or pecans shopping list
- 2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 2 Tbls butter shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Bring water to boil. Add sugar & karo stirring untyil dissolved.
- Boil without stirring for 15 minutes or until temperature reaches 230 degrees.
- Add nuts and cook over low heat until Karo turns a golden brown.
- Take from fire. Add butter, soda and vanilla stirring just enough to mix.
- Spread on large cookie sheet that has been well buttered.
- Cool. Break into pieces.
