these sound like they would be hard to make and time consuming..but if you can roll out pie crust then these will be easy... the prep time does not include the hour chill time... the recipe and photo are courtesy of King Arthur.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup (3 1/8 ounces) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup (1 ounce) orange or Vermont cheese powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 3/4 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients briefly, just till combined and smooth, with a pastry blender in a medium bowl. Let dough rest 1 hour, covered. Roll out very thin (1/16-inch thick) on a floured surface and cut into squares. Bake for 7 minutes at 425°F, turning pan halfway through baking time. Yield: about 54 1 1/4-inch squares

Where do you get cheese powder? Sounds like another good cracker. We go through a lot of store bought cheese crackers.


These sound great, Peeta. Every one of King Arthur's recipes I have used turned out wonderful and I use some of their bread recipes over and over. I'm sure this is no exception. High 5 - and thanks! :)
