Homemade Chicken Fingers or Fish Sticks

- 4 chicken breasts or fish partly frozen for easier cutting shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 10-15 soda crackers or bread crumbs shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp paprika shopping list
- 1/4 cup cajun spice shopping list
- 1/2 tsp seasoning salt shopping list
- 1 tbsp poultry seasoning shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- oil for cookingw shopping list
How to make it
- Cut meat into strips set aside
- put 1 cup of flour into a bowl and salt and pepper for flavor
- in another bowl beat egg with milk making an egg wash
- and in another bowl mix 1cup of flour and about 15 crushed soda crackers or 1/2 cup of bread crumbs,cajun spice and seasonings and mix together .(flavor always gets better the longer it sits)
- Dredge meat into first bowl of flour cover completely
- Then put floured meat into the egg wash
- Press meat then into the last bowl with dry batter and cover completely place pieces into hot cooking oil and fry
- Salt meat after it comes out of the grease first thing brings out the flavor
- I like to dredge potato wedges into the leftover meat batter and bake for a side dish to the strips
- Hint for perfect wedges cover wedges with evoo before you batter them they cook faster and the batter stays on better!! :)
