How to make it

  • Take the pork chops and dry , salt and pepper,brown on both sides, about 3 minutes each,remove from pan and place1/2 cup finely chopped onion,and 1 clove of garlic,chopped fine in the same pan the pork chops were browned in,cook for about 1 minute,stir constantly,(do not burn garlic).Add 3/4 cup apple juice to pan,stir to loosen particles from bottom of pan,add1 teaspoon rosemary,crushed,1 tablespoon brown sugar,1tablespoon (good) balsamic vinegar,and a pinch of salt and pepper,watching,bring mixture to slow boil,reduce heat and simmer for about 3 minutes or until reduced about 1/2.Add the pork chops back into the pan with the onion,garlic mixture,turning to coat both sides(I did this a couple of times while cooking)cover pan and cook for about 10 minutes.Remove the pork chops to a platter and cover with foil ,let them stand for 5 minutes.Into the pan in which the pork chops were prepared,add 1/4 cup water,that 1 tablespoon flour,1tablespoon brown sugar,and 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar as been added(I used a small jar and shake all this together before adding to pan)Bring to a slow boil,reduce heat and simmer for about 1-1/2 minutes or until slightly thick,drizzle sauce over pork chops,served it with mashed sweet potatoes,sauted apples,salad,crusty bread,and wine.
