Chinese Red-Cooked Chicken Thighs

- Chinese Red-Cooked chicken thighs shopping list
- 1/4 cup sherry shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. water shopping list
- 1 tsp. fennel seeds, crushed shopping list
- 3 orange rind strips shopping list
- 2 (3") cinnamon sticks shopping list
- 8 chicken thighs, Skinned shopping list
- 2 oz. uncooked bean threads (cellophane noodles) shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a Dutch oven, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add chicken, partially cover and simmer for 45 minutes turning chicken pieces occasionally. Discard the cinnamon sticks and orange rinds. shopping list
- 2. Combine noodles and boiling water in a bowl, let stand for 5 minutes or until soft, drain. Serve chicken over noodles. shopping list

This is a little different slant on chicken, but I find it interesting and I do like Asian style food. I think it will be very tasty.

We made this the other night. I did not use noodles or fennel seeds. We thought it would taste just as brilliant cold. It did and we are planning on using it for a picnic. This was excellent.
