How to make it

  • In food processor coarsly chope nuts. Reserve.
  • Coarsley chop chcolate in processor.
  • Combine with chcolate
  • In mixing bowl combine yolks and 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Beat until light and ribbony
  • In a naother bowl with clean beaters, beat whites with 1/4 cup sugar until stiff but not dry peaks form.
  • Mix the nut and yolk mixture together.
  • Fold in the white mixture gentrly.
  • Pour into a greased and papered line round 10 in cake pan
  • Bake until center is springy.
  • Remove to rack to cool completely.
  • Remove from pan and dust with powder sugar and choclate curls
  • Note: I chooped both nuts and chocolate finer than coarse chopped because I thought the cake would be too coasre in texture.
  • I am glad that i did!

    I know what you mean , but the flavor is mostly nuts than chocolate. The cake is really rich and nutty and different but my guests loved it.
