How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 320 degrees
  • Buttered 9x9 baking dish
  • Reserve 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • Combine all ingredients except reserved cheese. Mix well until smooth.
  • Transfer cornbread mixture onto buttered baking dish.
  • Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean when inserted on the middle of the bread.
  • Serve warm with butter on the side.
