Chili Mac

- 3/4 cup elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 small onion, diced shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 14 oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 14 oz can Heinz baked beans in tomato sauce shopping list
- 14 oz can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 Tbs chili powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp black pepper shopping list
- grated cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside
- meanwhile, in a large nonstick frypan, cook the beef, onion, garlic & green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, making sure to break up the beef into small pieces
- stir in the tomato sauce, tomatoes, beans and seasonings
- add macaroni to beef mixture
- transfer to a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray
- bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly
- sprinkle with cheese & bake 3-4 minutes longer or until cheese is melted
- serve with a Caesar Salad & garlic toast
