How to make it
- Cut of roots and stems from turnips
- Peel turnips and cut up or cube
- Place in pot, cover partially with water and bring to a boil and cover and cook until tender.
- Drain turnips very well
- Then mash by hand and season to taste.
- I used about 2 Tbs butter and 2 Tbs sour cream, salt and pepper and fresh nutmeg.
- I like the recipe when one can still taste the spiciness of the turnips, temepered by a little butter and nutmeg.!
