Paula Deens Sausage Swirls Recipe
These are delicious little crowd pleasers that require little prep time. Great as appetizers or breakfast! (the prep time includes chilling the uncooked swirls in the fridge for 30 minutes)

Ingredients
  • Two 8 oz cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 pound ground sausage, any flavor you prefer

Directions
  1. Separate 1 can of dough and form into 4 rectangles.
  2. Firmly press perforations to seal.
  3. Take the uncooked sausage and cut into 8 chunks.
  4. Using 4 chunks of the sausage, spread thin layer on each rectangle.
  5. Starting at the short end, roll each rectangle tightly into a cylinder. Repeat with other can of dough and sausage.
  6. Place on a plate, cover with plastic wrap and chill until firm, about 30 minutes.
  7. Cut each roll into 4 slices.
  8. Preheat oven to 375.
  9. Place sausage swirls 1/2 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  10. Bake 18-20 minutes.
