How to make it

  • slice hot dogs in the middle section the long way not to deep dont split it in half. put pieces of cheese in the opening of the hot dog. after piece of cheese in opening wrap bacon around hot dog so cheese wont slip out . use tooth pick to hold bacon in place. fry in oil at medium-high heat until golden brown the bacon. can serve with mashpotatoes remove tooth picks before serving.
  • can also bake in oven at 425degree should be done about 10 minutes

    I love this recipe. When I was a kid my father made this all the time except he also put a slice of dill pickle next to the cheese in the hotdog and he baked them. Most of my kids and grand kids didn't like the pickle so I make it both ways. Thanks for a great post, think I'll have to make these again.
