Ingredients

How to make it

  • Coat skillet with cooking spray
  • saute celery, green pepper, onion and garlic till onion becomes transparent. Gradually add water to the pan, as needed to keep veggies from sticking to pan.
  • add ham and continue to saute for 2 or 3 min.
  • stir in canned tomatoes, including the juice, and the tomato sauce.
  • add chili powder, cayenne pepper, cajun seasoning, and hot sauce.
  • Stir ingredients to blend well and allow to simmer uncovered for about 20 min.
  • add shrimp and simmer for 10 min more.
  • serve over hot rice.

Hot stuff, indeed! Oh, this reminds me of Bahamas! And with this cold outside, I just want to get on the plane and fly right there!
