We get banana stem in most of the indian grocery store.i cook this atleast once in a month.Banana stem contains lot of fibre.It is very good for health as it dissolves kidney stones....
Ingredients
- banana stem-1 shopping list
- Green gram dhall-1/2C pressure cooked by adding some water shopping list
- -----make a paste by adding some water------ shopping list
- cumin seeds-1Tsp shopping list
- coconut-1/2Tsp shopping list
- green chilly-2 shopping list
- onion 1-chopped shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- coconut oil-1Tsp shopping list
How to make it
- Remove the outer skin of the plantain stem&cut into circular rings
- we can remove the fibre by twisting the finger
- Cut into small pieces.soak it in butter milk to avoid discolouration
- In a pan add oil,add mustard seeds,& chopped onions&saute it
- then add the grinded paste&cook it for few sec
- Then add the banana stem&salt to taste&pressure cook it
- Once it's cooked add coconut oil&serve hot with rice...
