My House Dressing Recipe Rivet / All my dishes

This is my "house" dressing because I invented this one day when I wanted something more than the bottled stuff. Other than blue cheese dressing, this is always available at home.

Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup Olive oil. (There is so much confusion and static and ego lately going on with olive oil- and that just muddles things up. Just find an olive oil you like and go with it. Yes, there are many exceptions however this is just salad dressing.)
  • Juice of 1/2 fresh Lemon
  • 1 TSP salt
  • 1 TSP ground black pepper
  • 1 TSP Dried Oregano. If you have fresh use 2.
  • 1/2 TSP dried Basil. If you have fresh, use 1.
  • 1 TSP heaping Sugar
  • 2 TBSP water

Directions
  1. Wisk all together well in a large bowl.
  2. Pour into a container and let marinate overnight for best flavour.
  3. You can serve it immediately, it is great then too.
  4. Keep in a salad dressing bottle in your cupboard away from sunlight.
  5. Makes a good rub for leg of lamb prior to roasting!
