  • Lower heat and simmer into a light syrupy consistency.

    sounds like a good recipe! being part japanese my mo0m told me i can thin my sauce with water as well! this will reduce the saltiness of the shoyu... as for sugar content-that can also be adjusted to taste. one more thing! you can also add garlic to taste as well. same with the ginger.

    This is what I do all the time except I use brown sugar, I never measure though. I use it for salmon, stir fry, veggies etc. Great post.
