How to make it

  • Preheat Oven to 180 degrees Celcius
  • Wash and dry lamb
  • Make one 1L of Rooibos tea
  • Melt Butter and add Lemon Juice
  • Pack lamb in bottom of cast iron pot, casserol or oven proof dish with lid
  • Add rice
  • Add Lemon and Butter (Try get some on each piece of meat)
  • Add rooibos tea until everything is covered
  • Add Garlic
  • Put in oven and bake until liquids been absorbed and rice cooked
  • If needed add more rooibos tea
  • Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley and tomatoes

    Hi it is a bush growing in the Karoo you will probably find it in South African shops there by you or can get some on internet. The wonderfull thing about it is NO CAFFIENE
