How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
  • Drain pears, reserving ¾ cups of the syrup.
  • Place pears in a greased 9 ½ x 1 ½ or 10 x 1 ½-inch deep quiche pan or pie plate.
  • In a blender or food processor, place flour and sugar, and process till combined.
  • Add the yogurt, eggs, vanilla, and pear syrup. Blend until smooth. Pour over pears. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is just set.
  • Let cool for 30 minutes. Serve warm

    I grew up with a pear tree on our farm, this sounds like something that we used to have. I'm just plain hungry for a pear dessert, but I haven't found one this forever! Thanks for sharing. - Linda
