Roasted Pepper And Tomato Sauce Recipe
An easy tomato sauce with roasted peppers. Great with pasta!

Ingredients
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 bell peppers, cored and seeded, chopped into large pieces. I use a combination of red and yellow.
  • 5 cloves garlic, smashed.
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil.
  • 2 T balsamic vinegar.
  • Sea salt.
  • Black pepper.

Directions
  1. Pre-heat broiler.
  2. Combine all ingredients, mixing well and place in shallow baking dish.
  3. Place under broiler for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir well, and place under broiler for 15 more minutes, or until peppers are done.
  5. Puree mixture with imersion blender, or food processor in batches.
  6. Allow to cool to room temperature before refridgerating if not using right away.
