Easiest Sausage Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 roll sausage
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3 heaping teaspoons flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • White milk or water to thin

Directions
  1. Brown and break up sausage in skillet until browned and no longer pink over medium heat
  2. Sprinkle 3 heaping teaspoons of flour over sausage...let flour cook for 2-3 minutes
  3. Increase heat to high
  4. Add one can of evaporated milk WHILE STIRRING CONSTANTLY
  5. Mixture will be thick, so add milk or water until thin...continue to STIR
  6. Once gravy begin to boil let boil for 1 minute while still stirring
  7. Turn heat off and remove skillet from burner
  8. Add salt and pepper to taster
  9. Gravy will thicken as it cools

This is one of our breakfast favorite for camping in the summer. I usually make it ahead of time and reheat. I serve it on a biscuit and top with a poached egg. 5 yums and 5 stars
