Ingredients

How to make it

  • Brown and break up sausage in skillet until browned and no longer pink over medium heat
  • Sprinkle 3 heaping teaspoons of flour over sausage...let flour cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Increase heat to high
  • Add one can of evaporated milk WHILE STIRRING CONSTANTLY
  • Mixture will be thick, so add milk or water until thin...continue to STIR
  • Once gravy begin to boil let boil for 1 minute while still stirring
  • Turn heat off and remove skillet from burner
  • Add salt and pepper to taster
  • Gravy will thicken as it cools

    This is one of our breakfast favorite for camping in the summer. I usually make it ahead of time and reheat. I serve it on a biscuit and top with a poached egg. 5 yums and 5 stars
