Mushroom Beef Tenderloin

- 3/4 pound fresh mushrooms; sliced shopping list
- 5 Tablespooons butter or margarine; divided shopping list
- 2 teaspoons all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley; minced shopping list
- 6 beef tenderloin steaks; 1 1/2 inch thick shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet, saute mushrooms in 3 Tbsp butter for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender. Blend in the flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add the cream. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in parsley, keep warm. In another large skillet; heat the remaining butter over medium high heat. Cook steaks for 6 to 7 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness. Serve with the mushroom sauce.
