Pizza Sauce Recipe

	Chef_irish / All my dishes 11 months, 2 weeks ago This is the second most important ingredient in pizza making. If you can't make a great crust or a great sauce, then you can't make a great pizza. Ingredients

1 15oz can of tomato puree

1 6oz can of tomato paste

2 shallots minced

2 cloves of garlic minced

2 Tbls of olive oil

1/4 cup red wine

1 tsp of dried basil

1 tsp of oregano

1 tsp of sugar

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Saute shallots and garlic in oil for about 5 minutes.

Add tomato puree, paste, wine and cook about ten minutes,

Add basil, oregano, sugar, salt and pepper.

Cook for around 1 hour stirring on occasion.

Let cool before topping the pizza dough.
